HabitatEvergreen montane forests at an altitude of 900-1,000 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionGlabrous twigs, whitish in colour.
Leaf DescriptionThin, glossy green with a greyish-green underside, a broad cuneate base and 9-12 secondary veins on either side of the midvein.
Flower DescriptionFemale inflorescence, 2-6 cm in length.
Fruit DescriptionOblate acorn, 2-2.5 cm, produced in September.
