General DescriptionThis species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as least concern.
HabitatMixed mesophytic forests at an altitude of 100-2,700 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionGreyish-brown, glabrescent twigs.
Leaf DescriptionLanceolate or oboval, toothed, dark green with a greyish-brown pubescent underside, a rounded to cuneate base and 10-15 secondary veins on either side of the midvein, 8-20 x 5-13 cm.
Fruit DescriptionAcorn, ovoid, singular or in groups of 2-3, 1.7-2.5 cm in length.
