General DescriptionThis species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as least concern.
HabitatFound at altitudes of 900-2,000 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionRough and thickly ridged, brown in colour.
Leaf DescriptionOblong-elliptic, oval or ellpitic-lanceolate, glossy and glabrous with a greyish-brown underside, a rounded or cuneate base and 9-14 veins on either side of the midvein, 12-20 x 4-9 cm.
Fruit DescriptionAcorn, flat, 1-1.6 x 1.5-2.2 cm, produced October through November.
