Bark/Stem DescriptionRough, scaly and thin, dark brown in colour with reddish-brown twigs which become smooth and greyish as they age.
Flower/Leaf Bud DescriptionOvoid, reddish brown.
Leaf DescriptionOboval, elliptical or oboval-elliptical, thick, toothed, glossy greenish-blue with a yellowish or pale brown underside, a rounded or cordate base and 6-10 secondary veins on either side of the midvein, 6-15 x 3-7 cm.
Fruit DescriptionAcorn, 2-2.5 cm in length.
