HabitatDeciduous forests at an altitude of 100-2,000 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionGrey or dark reddish brown with some furrows.
Leaf DescriptionOval elliptic with a pointed apex and a cuneate or rounded base, 7-12 secondary veins on either side of the midvein, 7-17 x 3-9 cm.
Flower DescriptionPistillate inflorescences, 1.5-3 cm in length.
Fruit DescriptionAcorn, ovoid or subglobose, 1.7-2 cm in length.
