HabitatMountain forests at an altitude of 1,000-3,100 m.
Leaf DescriptionOboval to elliptic, dark green with an obtuse apex and subcordate base, 4-8 secondary veins on either side of the midvein, 2.5-7 x 1.5-4 cm.
Flower DescriptionPistillate inflorescences, 1-3 cm in length.
Fruit DescriptionAcorn, ovoid globose, 1.2-2 x 1 cm.
