Bark/Stem DescriptionSmooth, greyish brown when young, maturing to a black colour with flat ridges. Brownish-grey twigs.
Flower/Leaf Bud DescriptionOvoid, brown, 3-7 mm in length.
Leaf DescriptionSmooth, dark green with a lighter underside, 5-9 narrow lobes a pointed apex and cuneate base, 10-20 x 5-12 cm.
Fruit DescriptionAcorn, reddish-brown with striations, 1.5-2.5 cm.
