General Description | A spectacular shrub when in flower but when out of flower not very redeeming. Olive coloured bark adds some interest to the winter garden.

Bark/Stem Description | Shiny olive green in colour, eventually - as the plant ages - the trunk will get a rough texture to it.

Leaf Description | Bright green in summer turns slightly blue in the autumn. Alternate arrangement, elliptic - oblong, 3.5- 7.5 cm long.

Flower Description | Yellow flower racemes up to 60 cm in length. Individual florets are pea–like and bloom in late May to June.

Fruit Description | Small flattened pod changing from green to brown in October. Not very attractive; pod slightly pubescent.
