Origin | Native to the south coast of Western Australia. Adenanthos sericeus was described by Jacques Labillardire in his book Novae Hollandiae Plantarum Specimen published in 1805, it was identified at that time under the name Adenanthos sericea. |

Description and Growing Information
Landscape | It may also be trimmed into a pyramidal form and used as a Christmas tree. Suitable for hedging and topiary work as it responds well to pruning and shearing. |
Cultivation | Open or loose mulch is recommended. Mature or overgrown plants can be renovated by removing large limbs. |
Pests | Borers and mealybug may be a problem. The soil-borne fungus Phytophtora cinnamon may cause dieback. |
