Description and Growing Information
General Description | It was named after Baron (Charles) von Hugel. |
Landscape | Used in mixed borders or as an informal hedge. |
Propagation | Semi-hardwood cuttings. 10 cm tip cuttings work best although soft tip cuttings also rot well. |
Cultivation | Sandy and gravel soils. Drought tolerant. |
Habitat | Sandy coastal plains to mallee scrubland and heath on a variety of soils. |
Flower Description | Five petaled, 70 mm in length and overlapping slightly with ridges. |
Colour Description | The flowers are cream, mauve but typically lilac in colour. The leaves are a dark green. |
