Description and Growing Information
General Description | A very large succulent. |
Cultivation | Under the right conditions, it’s not difficult to grow. Tends to thrive on a little neglect, rather than too much attention. Extremely easy to over water, don’t water if the stems are soggy. Prefers lots of sun with low humidity. Only needs to be repotted every other year and does well in pots as long as they don’t become heavy enough to tip them over. |
Pests | Resistant to most pests but vulnerable to scale. |
Notable Specimens | Centennial Conservatory, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. |
Leaf Description | Will typically loose their lower leaves over time producing more of a tree-like appearance. |
Flower Description | Small, grows in large clusters. |
Fruit Description | Fruit are fleshy and oval shaped and up to 2.5 cm long. |
Colour Description | White flowers. Brown fruit. Green leaves. Bark ranges from green to brown. |
Texture Description | Leaves are smooth. |
