Description and Growing Information
General Description | ‘Akashigata’ favours a position sheltered from cold dry winds. It prefers woodland and acid soils but will tolerate neutral loam as long as it is well drained. |
Landscape | May be used as a border planting, or along walls and foundations. |
Propagation | Hardwood cuttings planted with rooting hormone. Will begin to root within 2 or 3 months. |
Cultivation | Suitable for woodland and acidic soils. Position in a site sheltered from cold, dry winds and early morning sun as buds and flowers may be damaged by cold winds and late frosts |
