| General Description | A large shrub or small tree, producing upright stems topped by huge, deeply lobed leaves, up to 1 m across. |
| ID Characteristic | If kept frost-free these are evergreen; with mild frosts the plant is deciduous, and with harder frost will die to ground level then reshoot from the roots. |
