General DescriptionIt is quite intolerant of urban pollution, therefore inner city or urban street side plantings are best avoided.

PropagationPropagate by softwood cuttings in early summer or semi-hardwood cuttings in late summer.
CultivationGrow in full sun to partial shade. It requires an evenly moist well-drained soil for optimal growth, but will die in standing water. It is not particular as to soil class, but has a definite preference for acidic soils.
PestsAffected by diseases like coral spot, grey mould, honey fungus, fungal leaf spot or iron deficiency and lime-induced chlorosis. Can be damaged by horse chestnut scale, capsid bug and snails.
